Finished in Deep Black, this 1958 Cadillac Coupe Deville boasts a recently completed, comprehensive, frame-off build. The supercharged 6.0L V-8 engine is equipped with a Brian Tooley Racing Stage 1 camshaft, a black powder-coated CVF front runner system and stainless-steel headers with a ceramic-coated exhaust system, and it’s all backed by a 4L80E automatic transmission with a 2800 stall converter. The Cadillac also features a new gas tank, new fuel and brake lines, and a PSI wiring harness. An Air Ride suspension system with dual air pumps keeps the Cadillac level and provides a supple ride while passengers enjoy an interior that is as noir as the exterior.
Fitted with a front bench seat with a fold-down center armrest, the interior features a chrome tilt steering column with a white-rimmed Forever Sharp steering wheel, a heater, air conditioning, Holley digital gauges and a Custom Autosound stereo system. Hydroboost front disc brakes make stopping easier, and Vogue Tires on 20-inch Colorado Customs wheels round out the very dark look. A customized Cadillac is nothing new, but this all-black example takes the concept to another level. The windows are as black as pitch, the chrome has been blacked out, and only the polished wheels and gold and white stripes on the tires break up the otherwise almost sinister look.
Even the headlights wear a black covering. However, reading through the black, the Coupe Deville hosts a number of subtle details. A true one-of-a-kind custom Cadillac, this Coupe Deville is sure to draw crowds anywhere it rolls, making every arrival an event.
