In 2004, General Motors introduced the “V” series of Cadillac – an automotive fusion of raw horsepower, sports car handling and luxury appointment. The flagship model was the CTS-V and it proved the adage, “This is not your Father’s Cadillac”. This generation of CTS-V, produced for a four-year period from 2011-2014, featured a behemoth 6.2L supercharged engine sourced from the ZR1 Corvette that produced 556 HP.
Coupled with a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission, the CTS-V proved to be a muscle car on steroids. Yet despite its ability to smoke the tires in all six gears, the selective ride control capability enables the driver to experience a soft plush ride quality when set on the “touring mode” or perform track attack canyon carving with alacrity when set on “sport mode”.
