The 1950 Roadmaster carried on in its traditional role at the top of Buick’s lineup, but with even more flash than before. It still came standard with the 320/150 HP Fireball Dynaflash 8 valve-in-head engine and Dynaflow automatic transmission, and retained the distinctive “VentiPorts” that first appeared on Buick styling chief Ned Nickles’ own 1948 Roadmaster – without the ignition-fired flashing lights – but the front grille was more dramatic than ever, even to the point of flowing over the bumper. It is a classic design that still appeals in examples such as this 4-door sedan, which has been with the same owner for 45 years.
Repainted a single time in lustrous Black, it still sports the original Tan wool interior that remains in outstanding condition and includes a Wonderbar radio. At a believed-accurate 34,000 miles, it offers new brakes, cylinders and drums and rides on new Whitewall tires.
