This Buick is reported to have been sold new by C.H. Haines and Sons in Palmyra, New Jersey to Dr. Don Koerner. Also residing in Palmyra, Finished in Garnet Red Metallic over two-tone cream and beige leather, it was handsomely outfitted with numerous power features and a Sonomatic radio. Dr. Koerner is understood to have kept the car for over three decades before it was acquired by his friend Sam Robbins of Skokie, Illinois in April of 1989. In 1992, the big Buick joined the garage of Ed Kucuhar in Cleveland, Ohio. Retained for a decade, the penultimate owner acquired the car in 2002 with 20,465 miles—a figure reported to be from new—and exported it to Sweden. The current owner acquired the Buick in 2015.
Currently showing under 22,100 miles—a figure that is believed to be from new—this Limited has been understood to have been well kept and carefully stored by the present, European owner. Longer than anything else on the road overseas, it is now back in its homeland where it is
still
longer than virtually everything else on the road. The apogee of '50s American luxury, pound-for-pound, this is one of the best automotive values out there.
