In 2011, BMW’s high-performance M Group worked their magic on the company’s entry-level compact 1 Series coupe by shoehorning a twin-turbocharged, 3.0L straight-6 engine under its hood to create the potent and popular 1 Series M Coupe. Then, at the 2016 North American International Auto Show, BMW introduced its replacement, the M2 Coupe. Based on BMW’s F8x chassis, the M2 Coupe received the even more powerful, twin-turbocharged 3.0L N55 engine that produced 365 HP and as much as 369 lb-ft of torque on overboost.
When combined with a lightened suspension system, reinforced pistons and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the new M2 Coupe was capable of a 0-60 MPH run in under 4.3 seconds and a computer-regulated top speed of 168 MPH. The example on offer is a one-of-a-kind 2017 BMW M2 Coupe that is the only example to ever leave the factory painted in Austin Yellow Metallic over black leather interior with yellow stitching. Hailing from The Michael Fux Collection, this very unique BMW boasts a host of exclusive options and customizations which totaled over $26,445 when new.
These include the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, as well as the Executive Package with adaptive Xenon headlights, heated steering wheel, driver assist, wireless charging and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Other exclusive interior details include carbon fiber and Alcantara trim, heated power bucket seats, rearview camera, automatic climate control and AM/FM/CD stereo with SiriusXM radio. On the outside, this M2 Coupe has also been equipped with carbon fiber side skirt winglets, front attachment with aero kit, a rear spoiler, and exhaust tips on an M Performance exhaust system.
Rounding out the package are 4-wheel BMW M ventilated and cross-drilled compound disc brakes with floating brake rotors and 19-inch Y-spoke style 359M silver light alloy wheels.
