If considering production numbers when looking at a car from its possible growth potential in the future, it should be easy to deduct that less is indeed more. That stated, such exclusivity should be coupled to reputation and quality as well. Offered here is a one-of-five produced for United States distribution 2017 BMW 760i Centennial Edition. Announced in April 2016 with a very limited run of 100 examples worldwide, this car shows a mere 10 miles and is offered on an MSO, never having been titled. The Centennial, as one would guess, was in celebration of the founding of what is now commonly known as Bavarian Motor Works in 1917.
All 100 were painted in a unique Centennial Blue Metallic with a handcrafted “The Next 100 Years” signet on the B-pillars. There is also a 100th Year insignia on the dash, with a build number inscribed in the console. Mechanically, the car received the 6.6L/610 HP M760Li xDrive V-12 engine, a twin-turbo design capable of fearful acceleration. The 0-60 MPH times were noted at 3.6 seconds. It is connected to an automatic transmission and power is translated via all-wheel-drive. Integral active steering is also part of this combination, and reports noted that full air suspension with Dynamic Damper Control and an array of driver assist/safety technologies were also part of the release.
Inside is pure luxury from the BMW perspective, with a Smoke White Full Merino Leather interior with contrasted piping and Piano Black accents. Smoke White Alcantara was selected for the headliner, floor coverings and custom mats. This car has the luxury rear seating package, executive lounge seating, Climate Comfort laminated glass, four-zone climate control with ambient air package, Panoramic sky lounge LED roof, front ventilated and massaging seats, and a Bowers & Wilkins sound system that is Wi-Fi hotspot capable. Add in remote-control parking and navigation with a heads-up display, and you will own remarkable luxury in a one-of-five built car.
