Transformed from a standard 1990 316i Lux to a well prepared 2.5-litre competition/track-focussed E30 that remains road-registered. First registered in 1990 as a BMW 316i Luxe (E30), it was purchased by its previous owner in 2008 with the focus on building a budget-friendly, reliable, track-focused car. Now powered by a 2.5-litre M20B25 six-cylinder fitted with a 272 Schrick cam mated to a 5-speed 325 Sport short-shift gearbox and 325 Sport diff. Fitted with Bilstein B8 sport dampers and Eibach springs. The build/specification sheets for this fastidiously prepared car runs to four sheets and are available to interested parties. Most recent work taking place in 2024.
Fitted with M3 side skirts and front and rear bumpers, the car remains finished in Diamond Black but has been professionally wrapped to look like the well known Monte Shell M3 E30 race car. Inside has been fully stripped, retaining its original dash, with the additional of roll cage and door and harness bars, Cobra Monaco Pro seats, with Sparco 4-point harnesses, quick release buckles and OMP steering wheel. Supplied with original book packs, extensive history file, including original stamped service book from its time as a road car and £1,000’s of invoices for current work to transform car along with personalised plate, E30 ED.
