Predating Bentley's 1980s resurgence, the T1 was produced in far fewer numbers than the equivalent Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, the ratio being 11:1 in the Shadow's favour and is considerably rarer today. On the road, the T-Series afforded its owners the advantage of an eye-line higher than that of most other cars, giving its occupants a commanding view of their surroundings while electrically adjustable seats ensured unrivalled comfort. Summing up the ownership experience in 1989, 'Classic & Sportscar' observed: 'There's plenty of pleasure to be had from driving a Silver Shadow or T1, probably at town speeds more than anything. You learn to cope with its size very quickly. It soothes its driver like no other car.'

This stunning example in two-tone silver over turquoise with a light blue leather interior, has been the subject of a bare metal respray (photos on file) and the result is fantastic. The original leather interior has the smell of a fine library stacked with leather bound books, all woodwork is in good condition as is the headlining. This Bentley also comes with air conditioning, which works extremely well. Included within the extensive history file accompanying the car, are invoices going back as far as 1975, a letter from Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club confirming the manufacture date of 18th April 1969 and photos of the cars respray.

Much of the work on this car has been carried out by well known Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialist Michael Hibberd in Langley, Berkshire, with some work also undertaken by S P Broughton & Company and Phantom Motors. This elegant and superb luxury motor car comes with an MoT test certificate which expires in July 2018 and is UK Registered. This wonderful Bentley is a perfect example of British car making at its finest and is still a joy to drive or indeed to be driven in.
