In 2019, a race-prepared version of a standard W12-powered Continental GT beat the coveted record for a production car by more than eight seconds, climbing almost 5,000 feet through Pikes Peak's 156 bends in just 10 minutes, 18.4 seconds. The world's finest Grand Tourer was driven on that occasion by three-time Pikes Peak champion, former 'King of the Mountain', Rhys Millen. This was not the first of Bentley's Pikes Peak records: in 2018 the celebrated British manufacturer set the record for fastest production SUV with the Bentayga.
The Pikes Peak Continental GT Limited Edition is distinguished by exclusive Radium by Mulliner paintwork, complemented by a lightweight, carbon fibre body kit. Acid Green brake calipers and Pirelli P Zero Colour Edition tyres add to the eye-catching detail. The front, lower bumper inserts are enhanced with gloss black detailing, mirrored on the roof panel, wing mirrors and rear surfaces. Combined with a Pikes Peak decal on the front fender, the distinctive appearance hints at the Limited Edition's record-breaking lineage. Mulliner's 22" Driving Specification wheels in Gloss Black are standard, while an optional '100' grille celebrates the fact that the record-breaking Pikes Peak run took place in Bentley's centenary year.
Inside the luxurious cabin the passenger-side facia boasts a graphic design showing a section of the famous Pikes Peak course and the record-breaking time of 10: 18.488, with five different designs being used across the 15-car run. Pikes Peak Radium embroidery continues on the headrest stitching and contrast binding on the over-mats, with Pikes Peak tread plates and exclusive B&O speaker covers in Black Anodised and Radium finish. This superlative cabin also features the Continental GT's innovative Bentley Rotating Display.
The Pikes Peak Continental GT by Mulliner is equipped with the same, advanced 12-cylinder petrol engine as the car that broke the record in 2019. The twin-turbocharged Bentley W12 develops 626bhp and 663lb/ft of torque, accelerating the Continental GT from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds (0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds) on its way to a top speed of 333km/h (207mph).
The car we offer has covered a trifling circa 667 miles from new and is presented in effectively factory-fresh condition, complete with all books and tools. A full listing of this unique car's outstanding - and necessarily very lengthy - specification is available on request.
