The name Brooklands has been synonymous with Bentley since its beginnings and its name refers to the legendary racetrack in Weybridge, England which just happened to be the worlds first known purpose built motor racing circuit and in later years one of England's first airfields and Britain's largest aircraft manufacturing center. It opened in 1907 with a formal inauguration of 43 cars, including one driven by the renowned Charles Rolls and over the years held 24 hour events and was the venue for numerous automobile world race and distance records.

The Bentley Brooklands was introduced in 1992 as a luxurious replacement for the Mulsanne and Bentley Eight models with a 6.75-liter Rolls-Royce V-8 engine. This lasted until 1997 when it was replaced by the Bentley Arnage for the first time since the 1950s. The 6.75-liter Rolls-Royce/Bentley engine was then replaced with a BMW 4.4-liter twin turbo V-8 engine.

This 1996 Bentley Brooklands Sedan, with its desirable and gorgeous color combination of 'Black' (Code 9531101) with 'Maroon Pinstriping' exterior paint, matched with a luxurious 'Black Leather with Maroon Piping Hides' (Code A8290) is presented virtually flawless and simply stunning. Factory options include: a top roll, instrument board roll, under dash trim, AM/FM radio, tinted windows, Rolls-Royce style seats and chrome Turbo R wheels.

The Bentley offered here was sold new in 1996 at Rusnak Bentley of Pasadena, California. The car's second Southern California owner also purchased the car from Rusnak after its original owner traded in the car. All of its original owner’s manuals, collectible dealer 'Rolls-Royce Pizza Box', tools, two sets of keys and dealer service booklet still reside with the vehicle today.
