These extremely rare, limited edition, Aston Martins were made to celebrate the end of the production of the last handbuilt car to be produced at Newport Pagnell in July 2007 after 49 years of operations. Aston Martin took the decision to produce the Vanquish S Ultimate Edition, fittingly called the Ultimate Edition. Aston Martin announced that the last 50 cars built would have a new 'Ultimate Black' exterior colour, upgraded interior, and personalised sill plaques for each of the 50 cars built, of which only 20 were in right hand drive.
This example was originally delivered to Japan, where it resided with its first owner until it was imported into the UK in 2018, when our vendor purchased it as the second owner. The car is presented in excellent condition, having covered only a shade over 20,000km, or 12,000 miles. The paintwork retains an excellent shine and perfectly compliments the silhouette of the car, and the interior is free of any excessive wear to seat bolsters or touch points. The leather, which adorns almost every surface, is supple and makes the cabin a wonderful place to be. One of the weak points of cars from the early noughties is their entertainment system, which is not a problem here.
The car has been retro fitted with Apple Carplay, something which will be greatly appreciated for those who intend to use such a car on a regular basis, or for long road trips, as it allows full phone connectivity through the screen in the centre console and gets rid of the now dated navigation and Bluetooth systems this era of cars were fitted with. The car has been maintained comprehensively throughout its life, with 18 service stamps from Aston Martin main agents, the most recent being carried out by Aston Martin Edinburgh in 2023.
The car is supplied to auction with a V5C registration document, Aston Martin Heritage Certificate, owner’s books and service records and we are advised it will be offered for an MoT test prior to the sale. Consignor Fraser Smith
