Fitted with a 1700cc Brunswick motorsport class F blueprinted race engine, breathing through a pair of downdraught Dellortos, with 40mm valves, high lift cams, polished and ported heads and a 9.5:1 compression ratio, the flat four motor produces 150bhp.
Aided by significantly lightened bodywork, polybushes throughout, adjustable suspension and a limited slip differential, this Alfasud has seen some success in CSCC series with class placements, including a first place at Oulton Park.With receipts for work carried out between 2009 and 2001 totalling over £10,000 and benefitting from recent work including a new steel scuttle and windscreen, the car is fitted with an aluminium catch and header tank, a Lifeline push-button fire extinguisher system, a race fuel tank and outboard mounted front disc brakes.Previously prepared by Promotasport Ltd. (now Raceworks Motorsport) with some podium finishes, including the following,
