Porsche has upgraded the hybrid system first seen in the Carrera GTS and equipped the new 911 Turbo S with not one, but two electric turbochargers, making it the most powerful production 911 in history.

Engine and Performance

  • The new hybrid powertrain is based on a 3.6-liter flat-six engine, paired with a T-Hybrid system featuring an electric motor between the engine and the 8-speed PDK transmission, plus two electric turbos.
  • Combined output is 701 hp (a 61-hp increase compared to the outgoing Turbo S), with 590 lb-ft of torque available between 2,300 and 6,000 rpm.
  • Acceleration from 0–60 mph improves by 0.2 seconds, now hitting roughly 2.0 seconds.
  • Top speed is rated at 200 mph (around 322 km/h).
  • Around the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the new Turbo S clocked an impressive 7 minutes 03.92 seconds, a full 14 seconds quicker than its predecessor.

Technical Highlights

  • The car houses a 1.9-kWh 400-V battery in the front trunk and an integrated electric motor in the transmission.
  • All-wheel drive (AWD) remains standard, along with PDCC (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control), which now leverages the 400-V system for faster response.
  • The model features carbon-ceramic brakes (16.5” front, 16.1” rear), upgraded pads, a titanium sports exhaust, and wider rear tires (325/30R21 vs 315/30R21), while the fronts remain 255/30R20.
  • Curb weight is 3,829 lbs, about 180 lbs heavier than before, but Porsche notes this is minimal considering the hybrid hardware.

Design and Styling

  • The exterior keeps the iconic 911 silhouette, but introduces vertical front air intakes, larger side openings ahead of the rear wheels, a reshaped rear bumper with better airflow, and a more aggressive rear wing.
  • Inside, the cabin features premium finishes with exclusive “Turbonite” trim details unique to Turbo models.
  • The coupe is delivered as a two-seater, though buyers can add a rear seat at no extra cost; cabriolets come standard with rear seating.

Pricing and Availability

  • Starting MSRP: $272,650 for the coupe, $286,650 for the cabriolet.
  • The new Turbo S debuted at the IAA Mobility show in Munich in September 2025, with sales scheduled to begin in spring 2026.
