The legendary Mitsubishi Pajero is finally back, and this time it’s targeting the Toyota Land Cruiser. Built on a Triton-derived ladder-frame chassis, the fifth-generation SUV measures about 4.90 meters long and offers 23.1 cm of ground clearance.

Power comes from a 2.4-liter turbocharged clean-diesel four-cylinder producing 204 PS and 480 Nm, paired with a new eight-speed automatic. Inside, the boxy three-row cabin seats seven, while a sliding second row adds flexibility for passengers.

Even better, Mitsubishi kept physical buttons instead of relying entirely on touchscreens—a welcome choice for serious off-road driving. But there’s a catch: the Thai-built Pajero isn’t planned for the U.S. anytime soon.
