My Mitsubishi Attrage is not a fancy car. But for getting around Dubai on a tight budget, it's an absolute champion. Its biggest advantage is the cost. The 1.2L engine is incredibly fuel-efficient, and insurance is very cheap. This saves me so much money every month. It's also a very small sedan, so I can always find easy parking at places like City Centre Deira. Driving on Sheikh Zayed Road can be a challenge. The engine is quite weak, so merging into fast traffic requires careful planning. The air conditioner works, but it struggles to keep up during the hottest summer afternoons. You won't get any status with this car – it's purely for getting from A to B. But for a student, or for anyone who needs a simple, reliable, and unbelievably economical car just for city errands, the Attrage is a very smart choice. It does one job, and it does it well.
