When I was choosing the X5 M Competition, I wondered whether it would be too stiff for everyday driving. But it turned out to be great both around town and on the highway. Yes, the suspension is firm, but you get used to it quickly—and the car feels planted through corners. The interior is a delight: premium materials, thoughtful details throughout, and fantastic-sounding audio. Rear passengers are comfortable, with plenty of room, and the air conditioning distributes air well even in extreme heat. Trips out of town are easy, and the car holds its speed confidently and steadily. It certainly gets noticed in the city—its design is bold and aggressive, which can even lift my mood. For me, it’s a versatile choice: I can drop my child off at school in the morning and enjoy a real thrill on an empty road in the evening.
