Few foreign cars are as important to the American landscape as the Volkswagen. In any form, VW has played a crucial role in America as an affordable car, providing transportation for anyone interested in a fun, well-made vehicle that respected frugality. Of them, the Beetle and the Bus are arguably the most popular, largely outselling all the other models. The Bus truly made the idea of the minivan something mainstream and cool, especially with young people who loved the freedom an automobile provided, but were often on small budgets. The Bus provided freedom to go, freedom to carry and freedom to have a little fun. Equipped with the Westfalia package, this freedom became more interesting.

Inside, small dining areas, beds, racks, special lights, slatted windows and luggage racks transformed the Bus from a basic transportation vehicle into a personal home on wheels. Today, these early Westfalia vans are highly sought after and especially rare. On offer is a 1965 VW Westfalia Camper Bus, thought to have only covered about 60,000 miles from new. The interior is largely original and boasts the original date-stamped speedometer, original 6-Volt electrical system, original tool kit, functional and original Sapphire AM radio, and rare and correct full-length roof rack.

Well equipped, it is in great condition thanks to a recent cosmetic exterior restoration, and easily takes people back to a time of youthful adventure.
