Recalling the firm's glamorous Grandes Routières of pre-war days such as the Phantom II Continental, the coachbuilt variants of the new Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and T-Series Bentley were limited to just two: a two-door coupé or similar convertible, the former arriving in March 1966 and the latter in September the following year. These exclusive cars were hand built in the best traditions of British coachbuilding using only materials of the finest quality including Wilton carpeting, Connolly hide and burr walnut veneers, such painstaking attention to detail resulting in a price some 50% higher than that of the standard Silver Shadow.
Nevertheless, demand for these more glamorous alternatives to the much more numerous four-door model was strong right from the start, a state of affairs that resulted in them being given their own model name - 'Corniche' - in March 1971. Despite its sky-high asking price, the model proved a major success for Rolls-Royce; periodically revised and up-dated, it remained in production well into the 1990s, the last (Convertible) examples being delivered in 1995.
Dating from 1979, this Corniche Convertible has the redeveloped rear suspension system and mineral oil hydraulics that would be fitted to the forthcoming Silver Spirit and Silver Spur models. Imported into Europe from the USA, and currently registered in Romania, the car has been repainted in its original colours and is described by the vendor as in full working order. The car is offered with a US bill of sale, copy of the US title, and a Romanian Carta de Indentate.

- Immatricolata in Romania Seguendo il solco della tradizione lasciato dalle affascinanti "Grandes Routières" del periodo ante guerra, con vetture diventate leggendarie, come la Phantom II Continental, le varianti di carrozzeria disponibili per la nuova Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow e la T-Series della Bentley, erano limitate a due sole: una coupé a due porte o una cabriolet ricavata dalla versione coupé, con la prima disponibile dal marzo del 1966 e la seconda dal settembre dell'anno successivo.

Importata in Europa dagli Stati Uniti, e attualmente registrata in Romania, l'auto è stata ridipinta nei suoi colori originali ed è descritta dal venditore come perfettamente funzionante. L'auto è offerta con una fattura di vendita negli Stati Uniti, una copia del libretto americano e una Carta de Indentate rumena.
