French title - Single example - In the manufacturer's family since new - An emotional barn find - No reserve At the dawn of the 1960s, while studying mathematics, Jean-Pierre Lechelle was already dreaming of motor racing and decided to build his own automobile.

On 10 August 1961, he bought a Renault 4cv registered in 1955 which he dismantled so that it could be bodied based on his drawings. According to family memories, the car was then entrusted to the coachbuilder Auger, in Cognac to build this body which combines several influences, specifically that of the Ferrari Testarossa for the front, whilst integrating the specific architecture of the 4cv, of which it retained the mechanicals and running gear. The result is convincing, and the car was on the road from 1963 onwards, as can be seen by two period photos. It took part in the "Rallye de l'Océan " of which it still bears the painted plate on the bonnet.

Later, the car was modified to receive a Dauphine Gordini engine (type 670/05) and modified running gear, benefiting from four disc brakes, and Gotti rims. It seems that this evolution was never completed, and the car was forgotten in the corner of a family barn, where we had the pleasure of discovering it. To be fully restored, this model bears witness to real ingenuity and aesthetic sense, at a time when building the car of one's dreams was within the realm of the possible. It has a 4cv R1060 registration document, not modified by the administration, and a second Renault 4cv type R1062 for parts can be collected by the buyer, at his expense, from the manufacturer's son.
