The letters “TRX” came to denote the ultimate-ever pickup truck release from the Mopar camp. Following up the likes of the SRT10 Viper-powered models from almost two decades earlier, the TRX showed up as a modern monster with a Hellcat powerplant. That heritage ended in 2024 with this Final Edition release. As Car & Driver aptly noted when it was announced, TRX was already “on the endangered species list” and “became extinct” due to increasing governmental controls on powerplants. This example shows an odometer reading of 26 miles and was painted in the coppery-looking Harvest Sunrise, one of just three exclusive colors offered to Final Edition buyers.
That supercharged 6.2L Hemi V-8 engine needs little explanation, as it was capable of making this truck into a 12-second quarter-mile flier and an unreal off-road ride as well. Its 8-speed automatic transmission feeds the all-wheel-drive layout, and the unique suspension has 13 inches of possible travel. Adaptive cruise control, Bilstein remote-reservoir dampers and 15.0-inch front brakes are also here. The special paint is accented by the TRX side and hood graphics, black rockers and wheel flares, Mopar off-road style running boards, and the aftermarket Mopar “Ram Bar” with lights.
One additional option is the dual plane panoramic sunroof, while the inside is loaded with things like leather-trimmed heated bucket seats, power-adjustable pedals, a digital rearview mirror and the leather-wrapped heated flat-bottom steering wheel. There is the optional 19-speaker Harman Kardon stereo system, trailer reverse steering control and a trailer brake controller, and blindspot and cross-path detection as well. The interior is further detailed with Patina accent stitching and carbon fiber accents.
Back outside, the deployable bed step and pickup box lighting will let you handle the cargo end of owning this beast, while it touches whatever ground you choose with 18×9 beadlock-capable wheels wearing Goodyear Wrangler 35-inch all-terrain tires. This is indeed the Final Edition, as the model has now been formally discontinued. If the ultimate ride for you means more than highways, the late, great TRX is the solution.
