Porsche’s excellent variable valve timing maximizes power output across the engine’s operating range, working through the paddle-shifted PDK automatic gearbox and all-wheel-drive system to produce computer-controlled launches to 60 MPH in a mind-numbing 2.9 seconds. In addition to astonishing acceleration, the 2017 Turbo S is capable of more than 200 MPH, but there is more than raw power at work.
The steering-wheel-mounted drive-mode selector allows the driver to trim the car’s performance to suit road conditions or driving styles, and the Turbo S’ dynamic roll control and carbon-ceramic 4-wheel disc brakes with yellow-painted calipers combine with Pirelli P-Zero tires on light alloy wheels for incredible handling and stopping. Sharply finished in GT Silver Metallic with a Bordeaux Red leather interior, this 2017 Turbo S shows the handsome aesthetic revisions to the 2017 model that included revised front air intakes and LED cornering lights, 3D-effect LED brake lights and a reworked rear deck and spoiler with revised ducting.
