To many Porsche enthusiasts, the 1969 Porsche 911S is the ultimate prize of the first-generation long-hood cars. In 1969, Porsche made major engineering improvement strides to the entire 911 model range—T, E and S—by increasing the wheelbase 2.2 inches and thereby reducing the rear-end overhang, flaring the rear wheel arches to accept wider contact-patch wheels/tires, adopting fuel injection for increased performance and emission-control compliance, and reverting to a magnesium engine case to reduce rear-end weight. These changes were of major benefit to the high-performance 911S.

Equipped with Bosch Fuel Injection, larger intake and exhaust valves, and a higher-lift, higher-duration camshaft, the 911S now produced 190 HP—an amazing 1.56 HP per cubic inch of displacement. The 911 S also featured 4-wheel independent suspension, 4-wheel disc brakes with vented rotors and a silky smooth 5-speed manual gearbox. It was the ultimate 911 of its time and is still lusted after to this day by the most ardent Porsche loyalists. The featured 1969 911S has undergone a cosmetic and mechanical restoration performed by Dallas Euro Cars.

Finished in the factory-correct color of Polo Red, the exterior presentation is further accented by the 911S appearance group trim package—consisting of aluminum rocker-panel covers and wider deco trim on the front and rear bumpers—a pair of 3-inch driving lights mounted to the chrome horn grilles, chrome front-bumper guards and a complete set of polished 6-inch-wide Fuchs alloy wheels mounted on radial tires. The black leather interior and the square-weave dashboard trim are signature items on this 911S. The car is additionally equipped with a factory-installed electric sunroof and a Blaupunkt radio.

This 911S comes complete with the original tool roll, spare tire and Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
