One of just three built, this 1967 Pontiac Hurst Grand Prix convertible was one of the fleet of famous Hurst promotional cars used in events and parades. After the 1967 season it was purchased by George Hurst’s secretary Rosalie Brewstein, who drove it daily for years. After being in storage for almost two decades, it was carefully restored by its fourth owner over a 28-month period and completed in 2010, when at the SEMA show it was shown to a delighted Linda Vaughn.
The car is entirely authentic from its correct 428/376 HP H.O. engine to the superb Gold-on-Black Hurst paint scheme and Gold-plated Hurst/Kelsey Hayes wheels, and offers almost 30 factory options including a 3.08 Safety Trac rear axle, Hurst Dual Gate shifter, air conditioning, power driver’s seat and reclining passenger seat, Custom Sport tilt steering wheel, SafeGuard speedometer, shoulder harnesses, rare power vent windows and AM/FM stereo with 8-track tape player and reverb. This prized Hurst-Pontiac rarity is very well documented with ownership titles, photographic record, Protect-O-Plate and PHS records.
