This 2000 Plymouth Prowler is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine producing 253hp at 6,400 rpm and 255 lb-ft of torque at 3,950 rpm, paired with a four-speed AutoStick automatic transmission with overdrive and a rear-mounted transaxle driving the rear wheels. The aluminum block engine features a forged steel crankshaft with aluminum heads and pistons. A custom exhaust has been installed, and the radiator has been upgraded to an aluminum unit. The chassis incorporates an aluminum-intensive structure with a fully boxed frame constructed from extruded and cast components joined by MIG welding.
The front suspension uses unequal-length A-arms with coilover spring shocks mounted inboard and actuated by a pushrod system, along with rack-and-pinion steering. The vehicle is equipped with four-wheel vented disc brakes. It rides on chrome-finished aluminum wheels measuring 17 inches in front and 20 inches in the rear, with newer rear tires. Exterior features include cycle-style front fenders that turn with the wheels, a manually operated Stayfast cloth soft-top and power-adjustable exterior mirrors.
