The Peugeot 205 GTI is an iconic French hot hatchback that is thought to be one of the best ever produced. First introduced in April 1984, the 205 GTI became a quick success due to its playful nature and peppy 105bhp 1.6-litre engine. A 900kg hatchback that could do a 0-62mph run in just 8.7 seconds was staggering at the time, and as a result the car was a hit with young drivers and enthusiasts the like. This 1984 example is thought to be one of the oldest known surviving 205 GTIs in the UK. It has a fully stamped service book dating to when it was new, and it also comes equipped with its original owner's handbook.

With the history file there is also a selection of old MOTs, and the car has recently been mechanically recommissioned after a period of dry storage. This is an original, early example with a low mileage of just 52,894 miles.
