The Skyline R34 GTR is highly revered by all, whether a JDM aficionado or not, one cannot deny their presence and popularity in the car world. Standing as arguably the most iconic Japanese performance car in history. Whilst many of the PlayStation generation may have first experienced the drama of the R34 GTR V-Spec through Gran Turismo, it was its appearance in the Fast and Furious franchise that led to an explosion in global popularity for the R34 GTR, with the late Paul Walker driving one in 2 Fast 2 Furious, enhancing its almost cult status.
This R34 GTR example was built in February 1999 and registered in the UK in the same year. It is presented in very good condition throughout and is a desirable Series One model. The car was put into dry storage from 2008 to 2017 at which point it was treated to much restoration work carried out by Sandown Coachworks, this consisted of a paint restoration, a stage 3 polish and engine bay detail, four-wheel alignment and a full service. Since then, the car has been dry stored and used occasionally. Following this restoration work the present owner acquired the vehicle and has dry stored the car up to the current day.
The condition of this car is very good, the paintwork retains a deep shine and the interior is in good order throughout. A sizeable list of maintenance work has been completed to the car including various new parts. A new HKS turbo was fitted more recently, and new shock absorbers and springs have also previously been changed. A Trust exhaust system has been fitted. More recently this Skyline has been treated to various maintenance including a new high flow radiator and upgrade to waterless coolant. A brand new N1 water pump, fluid damper Harmonic crankshaft pulley installed, a new Gates Racing timing belt kit installed and a new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres.
Also benefitting from an extensive engine rebuild by Abbey Motorsport at circa 33,000 miles. Offered with a comprehensive history file detailing most of the work carried out, many sundry bills, a comprehensive service record since its arrival in the UK circa 25 years ago, old MoT records and the current V5 registration document. The private registration number ‘V4 GTR’ is also included in sale along with three original Nissan keys plus an original Nissan key fob along with the original key number tag which are still together as a package. Out of the 11,578 R34 GTR models ever made we believe that only 2,709 Series One GTR's were ever built and only 606 were Bayside Blue!
