An unrepeatable opportunity to secure a delivery mileage, high specification, limited-edition Morgan supplied new to Steve Morris (Former Executive Chairman of the Morgan Motor Company). Built to mark Morgan’s 110th Anniversary, the Plus Four 110 Works Edition is a special version of the marque’s four-cylinder lightweight sports car, developed with input from Morgan’s in-house motorsport division, AR Motorsport. It features performance upgrades including a Club Sport ECU and sports exhaust, increasing output to 156hp and 201Nm of torque and offering 0–62mph in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 118mph.
Distinctive details include AR Motorsport alloy wheels, yellow brake calipers, matt accents, special badging and unique paint finishes in either AR Motorsport Green or Morgan Design Silver. The cabin was fitted with heated black leather sports seats embroidered with the 110 Works Edition logo, while retaining the classic 5-gauge dashboard and 5-speed manual transmission. Offered here for auction at the Silverstone Festival is this remarkable, delivery mileage (85 miles) Plus Four 110 Works Edition. First registered in December 2022, this car was originally purchased by Steve Morris, the then Executive Chairman of Morgan.
Steve joined the company in 1983 and having spent nearly 40 years with Morgan he played a key role in its evolution before stepping away at the end of 2022. This example is finished in Works Green with a black mohair hood, the cabin is trimmed in black leather with contrasting black and oatmeal carpets and chrome detailing throughout. As a nod to Morgan's competition heritage, it's fitted with AR Motorsport 16" split-rim alloy wheels with Yokohama Advan A052 tyres.
The specification also includes a black mesh front grille and headlight grilles, chrome door mirrors, removable side windows, Moto-Lita steering wheel, heated windscreen and heated seats, analogue clock, climate-control and an Alpine radio CD player with USB and aux inputs. Presented to auction in 'as new' condition accompanied by two keys, the original owner’s manuals and a copy of the original factory specification. With delivery mileage and a standout specification, this Plus Four would be a great addition to any Collection or a superb weekend road car for someone who appreciates raw, unfiltered, analogue driving.
