The last of MG’s venerable T-series cars, this TF Roadster is Body No. 19485, Car No. HDC43/8828 and features Engine No. XPEG/2570. Emerging in a lovely shade of Autumn Red with a tan interior and convertible top boot cover from a comprehensive restoration, this 1955 TF is a people pleaser everywhere it appears. Nestled under the hood is a 1466cc/63 HP inline 4-cylinder engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. Ready to go, drivers will enjoy the banjo-style wood-rimmed steering wheel, jewel-like Jaeger instrumentation complete with a tachometer, twin rearview mirrors and bucket seats.
Beautiful chrome wire wheels with knock-off spinners are wrapped in Michelin tires, and the spare is mounted on the trunk. Speaking of chrome, this TF is adorned with just the right amount of delicate detailing, largely what made these cars so visually delightful to begin with. Well regarded in racing circles, the MG T-series was often the go-to car of choice for both novice and skilled racers on both sides of the pond—and, when not growling around in competition, they proved absolutely charming drivers, excellent for a little getaway to places unknown.
