This custom 2003 Mercury Marauder is #5,676 of 7,838 Mercury Marauders produced for the 2003 model year. It is powered by its original 4.6-liter 4V engine that was upgraded with a Kenne Bell supercharger, cold-air intake, 90mm MAF sensor, 39-pound injectors, 320lph high-flow fuel pump, mid-length headers that flow into a cat-less exhaust with an H-pipe and MagnaFlow exhaust. Jawanda Motorsports in Surrey, British Columbia, did most of the engine work. The transmission was overhauled in 2022 and a Stage 2 shift kit was installed during the rebuild. 4.10 gears have both rear tires pushing this Panther along.
Being built on the Panther platform from Ford, the car has suspension from the factory, and the factory air-ride system works as it should. This Marauder was also factory-optioned with the Police Interceptor package. The Marauder is now sitting on 20-inch Lexani R-Four wheels wrapped in Falken Azenis tires. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood AERO6 big-brake kit and the rear calipers were painted red to match and have new pads and rotors. The original leather seats are embroidered with the Marauder logo and are in great condition.
A Kenwood Excelon touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth and a backup camera resides nicely in the dash and crossovers are hidden but produce a great sound system, along with custom speakers and a 12-inch Memphis Audio subwoofer. This Marauder is documented and comes with a thick folder of receipts including over $20,000 in upgraded performance parts. It also comes with the Mercury Marauder Certificate of Authenticity, a deluxe Marti Report, the Marauder leather jacket in the bag, the original Marauder wheels, the original Window Sticker and the original purchase agreement when sold new at Richport Ford Lincoln in Richmond, British Columbia.
