Rare Cougar XR7 GT convertible with Window sticker and Marti Report documented as one of 347 built with GT Equipment Group, also known as 351 Performance Group, from assembly line in Dearborn. Factory built on January 10, 1969 with 351-4V 290hp V8, dual exhaust and competition handling package. This is a matching numbers M Code motor, FMX automatic transmission and 9' differential with 3.00 ratios. Factory options include sports console, power front disc brakes, power steering, tinted glass and AM radio. XR7 model received left-hand remote racing mirror, rim blow 3-spoke wood-tone steering wheel, burled walnut instrument panel, tachometer, gauges and clock with elapsed time indicator.

The current owner is the third owner and had new white convertible top installed with correct back glass window, new upholstery and carpet. Car is in excellent running and driving condition, solid and dependable. Vacuum operated headlight covers operate well as do the sequential rear turn signal tail lights. This Cougar received upgrade with Magnum wheels, white lettered tires and Eliminator Appearance Package.
