The E55 AMG was a very rapid and well engineered performance saloon and are rarely offered with just one owner from new like this example.
The W210 E55 AMG is perhaps one of the most understated of Mercedes' performance cars, originally debuting in 1999. Representing one of the first true AMG/M-B 'partnership' models with Mercedes purchasing a controlling interest in AMG the same year as this car was built. Powered by the M113, 5.4-litre, naturally-aspitated V8 generating 349bhp, 391lb/ft and offering 0-60mph in 5.7 seconds. True restrained German muscle with only Monoblock wheels, an AMG badge and a different exhaust tip distinguishing it from a standard E-Class. This effectively one owner car has been much loved by the same couple since new and has been thoroughly enjoyed over a remarkable 220,000 miles. Offered without reserve, this could be a bargain performance car and represents an affordable entry into AMG ownership.
