A fabulous combination; top of the range C-Class four-seat Cabriolet, S-Class luxury, AMG's muscular magic, 510bhp twin-turbo V8, 7-speed, Premium Package and the AMG Night Package. Remarkable. If a twin-turbo 500bhp V8-powered luxury convertible muscle car is on your shopping list, then this remarkable AMG Mercedes may well suit. A true 'wolf in sheep's clothing', this twin-turbo powered, 4-litre 32-valve V8, hand-built at AMG headquarters in Baden Wurttemberg, offers an astonishing 503bhp and a stump-pulling 526lb/ft of torque through its 7-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission, but is equally capable of transporting four full-size adults in comfort across the breadth of Europe.
The hugely competent C63 convertible itself offers a substantial 463bhp, but the extra 40bhp available on the 'S' may come in handy, particularly if the kids are late for school! First registered on 30th October 2017, this handsome example is finished in Obsidian Black Metallic with a classic, top of the range Mercedes-Benz interior in Black Nappa leather and brushed aluminium. In standard guise, it's fitted with all the expected modern amenities for a Mercedes AMG, including bucket seats, nine airbags, ride control sports suspension, adaptive dampers and a variety of driver settings from Comfort to Sport + and as an 'S', the electronic diff is also paired to larger brakes.
The car was ordered new with over £6,000 worth of options including the Premium Package, matt black 19''/20'' forged cross-spoke alloys, head-up display, the Night Package featuring blacked out chrome elements, intelligent light system and a 360 degree camera. The mileage, at the time of photography, was 46,262 and the online service records show services at 6,741 miles,12,690,19036 (B), 30,692 and 41,591 miles (B) on 17th April 2024. With its comfortable cabin, selection of desirable factory-fitted options and powerful twin-turbocharged V8, this C63 S is a potent and refined high performance convertible supported by a strong service history.
Finished in a sophisticated all-black colour scheme and in a condition commensurate with its low mileage and caring ownership, it would make for a swift and highly usable daily driver and an enjoyable open-top cruising companion for many more years to come.
