The 2012 Maserati GranTurismo S is the perfect expression of Italian performance and luxury. The heart and soul of this Maserati is the 4.7L V-8 engine—designed and hand assembled by Ferrari—that produces 433 HP at 7,600 RPM. This glorious normally aspirated engine is mated to a 6-speed sequential automatic transmission, the same transmission shared with the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. The basic drivetrain layout is of front-engine/rear-wheel-drive and a rear-mounted transaxle is employed to optimize front-to-rear weight distribution.

Although there is certainly obvious cross-pollination with its sister marque Ferrari, the Maserati has a decidedly unique and different identity that emphasizes luxury and comfort to augment its performance persona. The GranTurismo is a relatively heavy car compared to its more motorsports-based competitors, hitting the scales at slightly north of 4,000 pounds. However, this vault-like structure provides an insulated cabin and creature comfort that few of its rivals can match. The performance remains impressive with a top speed of 177 MPH and a 0-60 MPH elapsed time of just 4.8 seconds.

Hence, many Italian car aficionados choose the delicate blend of attributes that the Maserati delivers, making it a favorite for extended drives across scenic country roads. The visual impact of this beautiful Maserati GranTurismo S is striking with its deep burgundy exterior complemented by titanium-colored 20-inch wheels. The interior is richly appointed in white full leather with deviating black on the dash and upper door sills. This car is lavishly equipped with more than $30,000 in factory options that include the MC Aerodynamic Package, MC aluminum pedals, anodized calipers, trident-embossed headrests, Bose navigation and Alcantara headliner.

This GranTurismo S has a mere 17,151 original miles on the odometer, and it comes with the original manuals and a fitted car cover. If you like Italian style and performance with an extra dose of comfort, this Maserati will fit the bill.
