This 2017 Lotus 3-Eleven was designed as an uncompromised manifestation of the Lotus spirit. The 3-Eleven is focused on providing an undiluted driving experience, and it underlines the company's ability to deliver legendary handling and blistering speed. This is a very exclusive car with a very low total production run, believed to be the only “Road Version” 3-Eleven example in North America when new. Powered by a 3.5L V-6, 24-valve, water-cooled, all aluminum engine develops 410 HP and delivers a punchy 332 lb-ft of torque, now further enhanced by a custom-built Supersprint header and exhaust system.

The midmounted engine provides optimum balance and sends drive to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox and Torsen-type limited-slip differential; a performance clutch assembly and oil cooler is also fitted. As an aesthetic touch, the gearshift mechanism is exposed within the cabin. Extreme, focused and phenomenal are all words that have been used to describe the 3-Eleven. Factory options consist of: GRP Sport Passenger Seat with four-point harness, adjustable anti-roll bars and Metallic Green paint with Metallic Yellow racing stripes. This is a car that exists within an extremely rarified performance envelope; it offers both hypercar performance and handling.

Nothing else provides a sensory overload of this nature. The Lotus 3-Eleven is the most powerful road car to wear a Lotus badge and Hethel's quickest ever road car. It possesses a purity of the driving experience and the benchmark handling for which all Lotus cars are renowned. With the standard lightweight carbon composite bodywork, the Lotus 3-Eleven has a dry weight of 2,039 pounds and a maximum power output in excess of 410 HP, and it reaches 60 MPH in less than 3.3 seconds before reaching a top speed of over 175 MPH. Anyone fortunate enough to drive a 3-Eleven will be blown away by the performance that only adding lightness and power can give.

However, to say that this car is the fastest road car that Lotus has ever produced only tells half the story. There are few cars on the market that can match the 3-Eleven in looks, speed or lap times—it will reward those that are prepared to take the reins of one of the highest performing Lotus road cars ever. The aggressive stance and dramatically sculpted body in lightweight carbon composite—standard on both Road and Race versions—perfectly balances the competition focus of a track car with the surface refinement of a road-going supercar.

As expected for such a focused and extreme sports car, the Lotus 3-Eleven delivers high levels of aerodynamic downforce from the sculptured bodywork, rear wing, front splitter, flat floor and rear splitter. At 150 MPH, the Road version produces 150 kilograms of downforce. Ultra-lightweight, forged aluminum wheels are fitted together with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires on the Road version. In order to deliver the stopping power required for such a quick car, AP Racing 4-piston calipers are complemented by two-piece grooved and vented brake discs (332mm front and rear). This car has a clear bra and has always been serviced by a certified Lotus Dealer.
