The Lincoln Continental first appeared in 1940 as a personal luxury car designed and hand-built for Edsel Ford, but individually crafted production models were soon made available to status-conscious buyers looking for an exclusive status symbol. All the elements are here in this exemplary Continental convertible finished in Dark Blue with a very nice Beige soft top. The side-valve V-12 Lincoln engine and 3-speed transmission deliver characteristically smooth power, and occupants are treated to a luxurious cabin with leather seating and an ornately finished dash with an Art Deco-style clock and instruments. Wide Whitewalls, rear-mounted spare, rear fender skirts and stone guards and gorgeous chrome complete this wonderful classic Lincoln.
