An increasingly scarce and charismatic 1970s Italian sports car, combining rarity, provenance and elegant design - an excellent opportunity for the discerning collector or enthusiast. Series 1 cars. (1975–1978) were. marketed as the. Lancia Beta Montecarlo and were. offered in Coupé and Spider. body styles, the latter featuring a unique roll-back manually operated Targa-. style convertible top. Series 1 production ended in 1978 with just 27 Spiders produced that year.
This first generation Spider has been comprehensively refurbished and is attractively presented in Silver Metallic, benefitting from prior external restoration and retaining the model’s unmistakable wedge profile and unmistakable period presence. Highly original interior, remarkably well preserved, with excellent seats, smart aluminium gear lever, correct trim and dashboard, and only minor patination consistent with careful ownership. Well-documented history file extending back to the 1980s, including an impressive collection of invoices and associated paperwork supporting long-term enthusiast care.
Significant expenditure totalling over £13,000, including more than £11,000 invested by the previous owner and a further £2,000 with recognised Montecarlo specialists.
