One of only 267 Interceptor Convertibles ever produced, in a rare colour and with a well documented history.

Unveiled at the 1974 Geneva Motor Show, the Jensen Interceptor Convertible was built on the same tubular chassis as its fixed-head counterpart and represented the pinnacle of the West Bromwich manufacturer’s ambitions at the time. Powered by a formidable 7.2-litre Chrysler V8 engine paired with a TorqueFlite automatic transmission, the Convertible could sprint from 0-60mph in just 7.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 126mph. Based on the Interceptor III, only 267 Convertibles were ever produced, with the majority destined for export markets. Originally built in 1974, returned from California in 1989, subsequently converted to right-hand drive and re-registered in the UK in February 1990.

Finished in Brienz Blue, complemented by delicate silver and red coachlines over black leather with distinctive sheepskin seat inserts, offering a unique blend of luxury and period charm. The odometer shows just under 25,000 miles with automatic gearbox and torque converter being replaced in recent years and the car has covered only 4,000 miles in the last 18 years. Supplied with comprehensive history file that includes numerous invoices and receipts, MOT certificates, the original Jensen Interceptor handbook and convertible supplement, as well as a workshop manual.

With its rarity, elegant styling and impressive presentation, this superb Interceptor Convertible would make a distinguished addition to any collection of British Classics.
