There is no doubt that this past decade will forever echo as one of true automotive performance. Few could have guessed that supercharged, race-worthy Jeeps would be part of the modern landscape back when these simple utility machines made their debut during World War II, but they are, and the beautiful 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk offered here shows just 40 miles since delivery. The Trackhawk is actually more akin to Mopar’s past, a somewhat boxy beast whose real reason to exist is to go fast—very fast, as in 0-60 MPH in 3.5 seconds fast.
The heart of the Trackhawk is its supercharged 6.2L Hemi V-8 engine rated at 707 HP but tuned for possible towing, as this example is equipped with the premium Trailer Tow Group IV as well. The heavy-duty 8HP95 8-speed automatic transmission is behind the engine, and the all-wheel drive design uses the Quadra-Trac on-demand 4-wheel drive and electronic Select Trac limited-slip differentials. Huge Brembo disc brakes with yellow calipers and the Launch Control-equipped competition suspension will let you drive this one however you dare. Of course, the Grand part of this Cherokee is the premium equipment inside as well.
The Signature Leather-Wrapped Interior Package includes Laguna leather performance seats and leather-wrapped lower panels, while the High Performance Audio Group includes Apple CarPlay and Android Audio, an 825-watt amplifier and 19 speakers. There is a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, Full Speed Collision and Lane Departure Warning Plus, adaptive cruise control, headlamp washer, tilt and telescopic heated steering wheel, and heated and ventilated eight-way power front seats. Other Décor includes the “supercharged” sill plate lettering, Trackhawk and Supercharged exterior tags, silver thread carbon spears and Trackhawk lettering on the interior upholstery, and bright quad exhaust tips.
