  • Delivered new to New York, USA
  • Matching numbers
  • Extensively restored

With the Mark 2's arrival, the 3.8-litre version of Jaguar's XK six became available for the first time in the company's medium-sized saloon, which in top-of-the-range, 3.8-litre, manual/overdrive configuration was a genuine 200km/h car capable of reaching 100km/h in 8.5 seconds. There was only a slight performance penalty with the optional Borg-Warner automatic transmission installed, and the '3.8' in this more user-friendly form was an increasingly popular choice, particularly in North America.

This automatic-transmission Mark 2 left the factory on 20th July 1960 and was delivered new to New York, USA. A matching-numbers example, the Jaguar was exported to the Netherlands in 1992, eventually ending up in Belgium and being extensively restored. We are advised that the chassis is in very good restored condition, and the body likewise. The British Racing Green paintwork and matching leather interior are said to be in good condition, as is the brightwork. Both the engine and gearbox have been overhauled, and the car is said to run smoothly. Noteworthy features include the original tool kit. The car is offered with a Heritage Certificate, restoration invoices, sundry brochures, and a Belgian Carte Grise.

Jaguar Mark 2 3.8-Litre 1960

Châssis n° 213489BW

  • Livrée neuve à New York, États-Unis
