Hailing from the final year of production, this 2009 Hummer H2 is finished in its original Birch White paint and two-tone Sedona and Ebony leather interior. Powered by the 6.2L V-8 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission, it’s equipped with the Air Suspension Package and the 1SC Luxury Preferred Equipment Group, an option that commanded $7,675, according to the window sticker copy. Rolling on Cooper Discoverer tires and 20-inch polished factory wheels, the SUV also features three-row seating, power-operated running boards and a chrome brush guard. To broaden their market share, GM introduced the Hummer H2 for the 2002 model year.
Built on a unique chassis based on both the ½- and ¾-ton GM pickup, the H2 offered customers the opportunity to own a Hummer on a smaller, more manageable scale. Sized roughly in line with the Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade, the H2 was positioned as an upscale SUV alternative to the likes of the Land Rover Discovery, Toyota Land Cruiser, Lexus GX and other upscale SUVs. A model expansion took place with the H2 SUT, which was an H2 with an open rear space, and the H3, a proper 4-door short bed pickup. Sales declined year after year, with 2009 seeing the end of production and just 1,513 H2-based vehicles sold.
