The Ford Thunderbird stepped into the market created by the Chevrolet Corvette with a healthy 292 CI V-8 under its sculpted hood. Ford pumped up the power in 1956 with a larger displacement 312 CI engine rated at 215 HP. A floor shifted Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission backs that same powerplant in this pristine Buckskin Tan 1956 convertible, which also incorporates a color matching porthole hardtop and complementary two tone Buckskin interior. Optional equipment includes an AM radio, dash-mounted tachometer and beautiful chromed wire wheels with wide Whitewall tires.
