Italian title - Incredible fun to drive - Ready to compete in regularity rallies - Unusually well-preserved - No reserve When it unveiled its Golf GTI in 1975, Volkswagen took everyone by surprise and started a trend, the scale of which even it failed to imagine, and to which its flagship model gave its name. Faced with this phenomenon, the leading European manufacturers could not stand idly by.

Fiat stepped into the breach in 1981 with its Ritmo 105 TC, then its Abarth-badged 125 TC, named after the company's competition department. With the appearance of the Ritmo II in 1983 came the 130 TC Abarth, a further developed version which made life difficult for the other contenders in the category. Under its aggressive body, its 130 bhp two-litre twin-cam engine, mated to a five-speed gearbox, delivered brilliant performance, backed up by its sporty chassis. The model we are offering has been prepared to Group 1 spec for regularity rallies such as the Monte-Carlo Historique.

It is equipped with period Abarth bucket seats, a cut-out switch, Momo steering wheel, sports shock absorbers and GR1 Abarth wheels. Registered in the Registro Storico of the Rallye Driver Team, the car shows 130,042 km from new. In the same ownership since 2016, it is in well-preserved condition, which is rare. It is the ideal choice to compete in historic events with an original and fun car. ADDENDUM PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CAR IS SOLD WITHOUT TECHNICAL INSPECTION. Photos © Loïc Kernen
