Featuring rare Fiat Jolly hubcaps and trim, this 1961 Fiat 600 Jolly underwent a no-expense-spared nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration by a well-known Fiat Jolly expert, emerging in a fantastically whimsical shade of Baby Blue with only 20 miles registered on its odometer since its renewal. The interior is, of course, complete with the wicker seats and black rubber flooring topped with beautiful Coco Mat floor mats that easily bring additional zing to the inside of this Italian gem. Powered by the 633cc 4-cylinder engine and 4-speed manual transmission, it is the perfect get-around car for a provincial area.
It’s agreed that roughly 400 were produced between 1958 and 1969, and of those, fewer than 100 remain in existence today. The Fiat 600 line was introduced in 1955, supplanting the well-known but vastly underpowered and diminutive Fiat 500. The 600 enjoyed many variants and sold roughly 2.5 million units worldwide in 15 years of production. Knud Reimers, a Swedish maritime architect, designed Agneta, an 82-foot ketch named after his daughter, which was built in 1948. The stunning boat belonged to Gianni Agnelli, chairman of Fiat, from 1956 to 1982, during which time Agnelli enjoyed sailing to various Mediterranean ports and visiting the many towns and villages.
In order to make getting around easier, he ordered a small, open car that could be kept on the boat and easily hoisted over the side. The result was the Jolly. Fitted with a fringed surrey top, wicker seats and a very carefree style and purpose, the Jolly was styled by Ghia. This one is an exceptional opportunity to acquire one of the cutest cars ever made; perfect for a second resort home or placement in a big office or den, these bring a smile to anyone who sees them.
