This 2010 Ferrari California convertible is powered by a 262ci double-overhead-cam V8 engine with 454hp and transfers power via the twin-clutch automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. It is capable of 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds, with the quarter-mile blurring by in just under 12 seconds at 117 mph. Ferrari's technology keeps the convertible under acceleration and braking with F1-Trac traction and stability control, as well as tuned carbon-ceramic anti-lock disc brakes with vented and drilled rotors. The car rides on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S performance tires that are mounted to the diamond-finish light alloy 20-inch wheels.

The interior features include fully automatic climate control, a touchscreen infotainment center, navigation interface system, carbon-fiber steering wheel with LED meters and the expected premium leather-appointed surfaces, including the multi-function electric sport bucket seats. Ferrari's California is a car filled with firsts for the Italian automaker: the first front-engine V8, the first use of direct injection, the first 7-speed transmission, the first true launch-control system, the first retractable hardtop and the first stacked exhaust.
