Chassis n° ZFFLA40B000093328 A true icon of the 80s, the Testarossa has made thousands of enthusiasts of all ages dream and asserts itself today as an emblematic model of Maranello. The 512 TR which will succeed it in 1992 is an aesthetically very successful evolution but is a real revolution from a technical point of view. Its multitubular frame in special steel and oval section as on the F40 allows a lowering of the center of gravity with an engine 3 cm lower. The 428 hp 12 cylinder is no longer bolted but welded, significantly improving the rigidity of the whole car.

But it was on the running gear that Ferrari engineers transformed its driving precision with stiffened wishbones and new geometry. Charging 1520 kg on the scale, the 512 TR gains in efficiency thanks to the reduction of its unsprung masses (hubs, bearings, shock absorbers, springs) but especially by improving one of the weak points of its old sister, the brakes. Now equipped with larger, wider and better ventilated calipers and discs but still without ABS, this GT produced in only 2,280 units is a real success that the 512 M, the last of the line, will not manage to eclipse.

Our 512 TR was delivered new in Germany by the Ferrari Rosenmaier dealership on April 02, 1992 as evidenced by its maintenance book. It comes in its original Rosso Corsa livery with a black leather interior and matching carpets. Its presentation is very satisfactory, all the bodywork elements are perfectly aligned, the original paintwork is perfectly stretched and the quality of the joints has not deteriorated over time. Only the front bumper and the bonnet were repainted in November 2005 to take up a few chips of gravel as mentioned in the file and on the invoice.
