A good opportunity to recommission this beautiful V12 Ferrari GT, just 14,318 miles. UK-supplied, right-hand drive 456 Modificata Automatic. Just 14,318 miles (atoc) from new. The definitive Grand Tourer - fast yet practical, front-engined, 436bhp, 5.5-litre V12. Well presented in Azzuro California with light tan leather and dark blue carpets. Most recent MOT dated 2013 but appears to have been stored correctly since. This car has formed part of a large collection with little or no use. Will require a degree of mechanical recommissioning, offered as a non-runner.

Powered by what was essentially a detuned version of the engine powering the 550 and 575, the new 5.5-litre V12 unleashed no less than 436 bhp and, except for the F40, the 456 was the most powerful road car developed by Ferrari up to that point. Pininfarina worked its magic on the 456 to create a subtly beautiful curvaceous body contrasting with the hard edges of its predecessor. Aerodynamically efficient, the 456 remained stable up to its maximum speed of around 190 mph. Acclaimed on its debut, the 456's styling has not dated and is a tribute to Pininfarina's vision in creating one of most beautiful vehicle designs of modern times.

The 'Modificata' 456 M appeared in 1998, starting with chassis number 109589 and it incorporated a number of changes, including improvements to the aerodynamics and cooling. The interior, still featuring Connolly Leather, was also freshened up with new seats and other detailing. The updated 456M, which was the last Ferrari model to use pop-up headlamps, was replaced in 2004 by the 612 Scaglietti. Offered here is a UK supplied, right-hand drive 2001 Ferrari 456M GTA with just 14,319 miles displayed on the speedometer at the time of cataloguing. Presented in a beautiful colour combination of Azzuro California with light tan leather and dark blue carpets.

This particular example formed part of a significant private collection and appears to have been stored correctly over the years however may not have been used for some time. Consequently, the Ferrari is offered 'as is' and should be considered a non-runner. The last MOT expired on 7th March 2013 and before any attempt is made to start this car we would suggest a thorough inspection, the Cam-belts are replaced and all fluids changed as a minimum. Guided accordingly, this is an exciting opportunity to recommission this wonderful GT which, with all the work completed will provide its new owner with many years of enjoyment.

In recent years this motorcar has formed part of a large collection and as such has received little or no use, an element of recommissioning is to be expected to return it to the road once again. Your inspection pre-sale is welcomed either in person or by a trusted third party, please contact our office to arrange an appointment.
