Following an enormously successful 2015 facelift led by consummate car guy and SRT boss/Design Director Ralph Gilles, the Challenger was revamped to accept myriad new versions of the Hemi V8, up to and including the mighty 700bhp supercharged 'Hellcat.' Now, the Challenger was in a class of its own.
But Dodge wasn't done. Following the announcement that the V8 Challenger was nearing the end of production, Dodge revealed a series of 'Last Call' models celebrating one of the final bastions of old-school American V8 power. It culminated with the 2023 SRT Demon 170 and its heavily revised Hellcat engine topped with a 3-liter supercharger, belting out 1,025bhp when filled with E85, or 'just' 900bhp on pump gas. The Demon 170's sole purpose is to tear up drag strips in the spirit of the classic factory Super Stock cars of the '60s.
Under ideal conditions on a prepped surface, it is capable of hitting 60mph in 1.66 seconds (!) and storming the quarter mile in 8.91 seconds (!!), generating a face-melting 2.004 Gs and easily vanquishing hypercars that cost nearly 10 times as much. God Bless America!

This 2023 SRT Demon 170 Last Call Edition is presented in Pitch Black paint, over Black Alcantara over Red Laguna Leather upholstery—an interior option unique to the Premium Group package. Car number 2087, it is essentially in new condition, with only 14 miles recorded at cataloguing, and many of the pre-delivery protective film and plastic covers still in place. It is about as close to a new SRT Demon 170 as one can get today.
The accompanying window sticker shows a myriad of options, chief among them include the Hellcat Redeye Widebody package, Premium Group, and of course, the SRT Demon 170 package. Aside from that mountain of a supercharged engine, the Demon package includes Brembo 4-piston calipers, sound insulation delete, a transmission brake (line lock), 240mm rear axle, drag tires on 17 x 11 rear wheels, and much more.
One of the most incredible race-cars-for-the-street to ever roll out of a Detroit automaker's factory, this Demon 170 is an instant collectible if there ever was one.
