This 1963 Chrysler 300 Indy Pace Car convertible was built to commemorate the 47th Indianapolis 500 and is documented as the actual pace car driven by 1957 Indy 500 winner Sam Hanks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It is powered by its original 413ci V8 engine paired with a 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission operated by Chrysler's dash-mounted push-button shifter. The car emerged from approximately 40 years of storage before undergoing a professional restoration.
