In 1995 Chevrolet changed the Blazer nameplate to Tahoe. In 1996, Motor Trend Magazine chose the Tahoe as their Truck of the Year, describing it and the GMC Yukon as “virtue-packed machines that deliver a unique bundle of attributes”, most notably passenger comfort, carlike handling and cavernous cargo space. This hard-to-find 2-door model is finished in Black with tinted rear glass, polished alloy 18- and 20-inch wheels and a Grey fabric interior, and is powered by a 350 CI Vortec V-8 engine with 2-wheel drive. Incorporating lowered suspension, rear barn doors, a factory cassette and keyless entry. Its front clip was replaced with a GMC unit after a minor collision in 2002, after which it was repaired to factory standards.
