$198,000 USD | Sold

This custom three-door 1968 Chevrolet Suburban is powered by a new 7.0-liter (427ci) GM LS7 V8 engine paired with a GM Connect & Cruise 4L75E 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, coupled to an NP205 transfer case. Purchased out of California in September 2020 and completed in 2021, this Chevrolet is the product of a more than 1,400-hour complete frame-off build. The body was stripped top to bottom. All metalwork was completed and epoxy-primed. U-Pol Raptor protective coating was applied to the floor and underside for chip and sound control. Dynamat installation on the inside floor provides additional sound and heat control. The body is finished with AXALTA urethane paint.

The frame, radiator support, inner fenders and axles are powder-coated as well. The engine is cooled by a DeWitts aluminum radiator, and the stainless-steel fuel tank is from Rick's Hot Rods and includes a new, original GM ZL1 fuel pump. The vehicle was upgraded with New Old Stock (NOS) front and rear axles from GM, featuring disc brakes on the front axle and GM posi-traction in the rear axle. It rides on a 4-inch lift kit with all-new leaf springs. Goodyear tires are mounted on Mickey Thompson wheels. The interior features all-new upholstery, carpet and weatherstripping. Climate control is handled by a Vintage Air system.

The dashboard features a Dakota Digital RTX instrument cluster and a reproduction AM/FM stereo. It also has an Ididit steering column, four bucket seats and a rear bench seat, as well as all-new gray-shaded glass and lighted electric retractable running boards to assist in entry and exit. It has been driven less than 300 miles since the build completion in November 2021.
